Asians hit Billboard Charts!

The No.1 and 2 songs of the top 10 singles on the Billboard Charts are by Asian-American artists:
1. Bruno Mars (Peter Gene Hernandez) is a Filipino-American-Puerto Rican singer-songwriter debut his album "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" last October 4, 2010. His first single "Just The Way You Are" top the #1 Billboard Hot 100 Charts. He also collaborated the songs Flo Rida's "Right Round" and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy. 
2. Far East Movement is a multi-ethnic Asian group composed of Korean's Prohgress and J-Splif, Japanese's  Kev Nish and Filipino's DJ Virman debut their single "Like A G6", which was part of McDonald's commercial hit the #2 spot in Billboard Hot 100. 
 They also released a single "Round Round", which was part of the movie soundtrack of "Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift, CSI: Miami, Entourage and Finishing The Game.


3. Wonder Girls is a Korean female group composed of Sun, Yenny, So-Hee, Yu-Bin and Lim formed in 2007.  In 2009, their hit single "Nobody" became the first Korean song to enter in a Billboard Hot 100.








4. Jay Sean (Kamaljit Singh Jhooti) is a British-Indian singer-songwriter was first part of the group Rishi Rich back in 2003. In 2009, he signed a record deal to Cash Money Records. His first debut single "Down" topped the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first solo artist of South Asian origin to hit #1. 
His succeeding single "Do You Remember" entered the Top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 selling millions of copies worldwide.








5. Charice known as Sunshine Corazon in the hit TV musical Glee released her debut album "Charice" in May 11, 2010. Her first single "Pyramid" featuring Iyaz hit the #1 spot in Billboard Dance/Club category. 










     6. 2NE1 is an all-female Korean pop group composed of CL, Bom, Dara and Minzy released their second album "To Anyone" this October popping #7 in the Billboard World Album Charts category.
